Why Choose Solar ?

Research shows that in the next 6-18 months UK electrical and utility rates will double or triple, leaving the UK homeowner at the mercy of sky-high costs of living.

Solar provides an option that allows you to control your own electricity, and to have control over your monthly bill. This not only proofs you from rocketing prices and inflation in the UK, but gives you plenty of other tangible benefits with increased property value, a lower monthly payment, and the ability to apply for the SEG scheme to be paid for your excess energy production.

There is a lot of excellent information available on the internet in relation to solar energy, however, there is also a lot of bad information too.

With that in mind, we’ve put together this handy guide for you to download for FREE, we hope this will give you a good overview of what solar PV & battery storage is, how it works and how it benefits you.

The Benefits of Solar

Solar energy is a renewable energy source, meaning you don’t ever use it up. Solar energy is clean. It creates no carbon emissions or other heat-trapping “greenhouse” gases. It avoids the environmental damage associated with mining or drilling for fossil fuels and is now the fastest growing source of renewable energy.

Solar Panels are more affordable than ever, and we have multiple solutions and finance options to suit all budgets.

Receive payments for any extra electricity you generate.

Solar power is in high demand, and the number of households choosing to make the switch to Solar has reached its highest level in seven years in the first months of 2023 with installation figures doubling from those of 2022.

Solar panels are an investment that you will see a return on. They also enable you to save money on your energy bills whilst helping you to protect the planet.

Increase the value of your property. ECO Friendly homes are becoming more and more desirable.

How Do Solar Panels Work

A solar PV panel consists of many cells made from layers of semi-conducting material, most commonly silicon. When light shines on this material, a flow of electricity is created.

The cells don’t need direct sunlight to work and can even work on cloudy days. However, the stronger the sunshine, the more electricity generated.

Solar PV systems are made up of several panels, with each panel generating around 355W of energy in strong sunlight. Typical systems contain around 10 panels and generate direct current (DC) electricity. Because the electricity used for household appliances is alternating current (AC), an inverter is installed along with the system to convert DC electricity to AC. This electricity can be used throughout your home or can be exported to the grid.

With any domestic PV system, there will be times when the electricity you generate is more than you can use or store, so the surplus will be exported to the grid to be used by somebody else. If you want to be paid for exporting, you need to make sure you’re getting an export payment.

In Great Britain, the Smart Export Guarantee pays you for the electricity you generate.

Begin your solar journey today and wave goodbye to variable, inflation affected bills.

Fill out our easy-to-follow online form. Don’t worry, it’s incredibly user friendly and we just need to obtain a bit of information to ascertain the suitability of your roof.

You will have an option to connect with us online if there’s anything you need a bit of help with. We don’t employ robots so it will all always be one of our friendly customer service team that you connect with.

We create a tailored design and solar proposal for you, for free.

A remote site survey is one of the essential aspects of planning or designing a successful solar system. It’s possible we need to come out and inspect your roof and we will communicate that if so.

It’s highly unusual that your roof won’t be eligible for solar, but if your survey highlights any issues one of our team will be in touch.

The remote survey will establish the following –

  • Roof measurements and data, including Pitch and Orientation
  • Solar exposure through shading analysis
  • Visual inspection of roof conditions and obstructions
  • Information about the electrical system to determine interconnection methods
  • Structural information such as rafter sizing and spacing

We will pass your information onto our in-house high-end design team to create a design plan for your installation
